I have practiced this song for quite some time now – as a warm up for my voice – and… because this is such a beautiful song.

This is not my music; and the choir and orchestration were put together by others ie. borrowed by me (but with complete respect to the creators) from this Youtube clip I found (which I have used here as a ‘covers’ backing track) – I fell in love with the melody, the choral arrangement and the ‘joy’ of the song; and I have used it as my warm-up for vocal training for at least a year now.

All rights belong to the composers and original singers….

This recording is not a perfect rendition as it was recorded in pretty humble circumstances…. But, this recording was put together with love, and that is the foundation of the Universe, so even despite the deficiencies and no proper recording studio….?  I’m working on it. Try sing this yourself, and you will understand that technically, maintaining every note perfect, is a real task.  And as I said to a dear pen-friend today, “I think this is my best effort so far….  It took many attempts before I finally recorded a version I’m sort of ‘happy’ with… and, I didn’t ‘hammer’ this effort as I had done with the other two (especially the first attempt which in comparison, was pretty, but not smooth and flexible in tone)… The  trick with this song is keeping the vocal very ‘soft’ in approach, very ‘smooth’, absolutely fluid…. its quite a hard piece to Master. I will keep singing this, as its a great warm-up piece…….”

I wish I had a beautiful studio to record in, with a kind and experienced sound engineer at the helm and fine musicians to do my effort proud on the original… but, my little office here at home has now had a few recordings done in it, and at very worst…  after a four year hiatus, I’m at least singing again

So….

I hope you enjoy this piece I have put together as my dedication, memory and with gratitude for Stuart Wilde’s music and poetry; and all those great people who have worked to make a difference for the positive on our planet.

I just had fun singing and recording this, in my little office using Garage Band.

Tis such a beautiful melody; and the message is rich, noble, strong and of spirit – joyous.

No money is to be earned by my efforts for singing this song – it is simply, a pure joy song.

THE WARRIOR’S PRAYER by Stuart Wilde

I am what I am.
In having faith in the beauty within me, I develop trust.
In softness I have strength.
In silence I walk with the gods.
In peace I understand myself and the world.
In conflict I walk away.
In detachment I am free.
In respecting all living things, I respect myself.
In dedication I honour the courage within me.
In eternity I have compassion for the nature of all things.
In love I unconditionally accept the evolution of others.
In freedom I have power.
In my individuality, I express the God-Force within me.
In service I give of what I have become.
I am what I am:
Eternal, immortal, universal, and infinite.
And so be it.

~~ Enjoy ~~
