Day 6: Anthills, Thermal Springs and a Thunderstorm welcome to Darwin!
Final day of travelling (Sunday 17th January, 2021)… its been the hugest trip as a solo drive…. I take my hat off to the truck drivers of this country, who do these kind of treks every week!

Day 5: Alice Springs to Daly Waters Historic Pub
Left early for the 915km trek from the backpackers in Alice Springs to Daly Waters….
Stopped at the character-filled, beautifully clean and friendly Barrow Creek Hotel to fill up with fuel and met the lovely Manager and her cat ‘Tiger’, plus the very kind and friendly duo of Bazza and Karina who were assisting with maitenance.
Travelled on to be soon, utterly awestruck, with Devils Marbles rock formations….
Then stopped 10kms past of Tennant Creek town where I found a great picnic spot in Threeways Caravan Park….
Then onwards to Daly Creek Historic township, to stay the night at the local Daly Waters Historic pub – now THAT is a true gem of a town… full of memorabilia…. and discovered that Daly Waters airfield used to be the main fuel refill for planes on their way to Singapore ie. was Australia’s first International airfield!
Finished the day with meeting a truly lovely lady – Mel – caring for an orphaned Joey called Chris!!

New page on my blog – selfies galore – gallery through the years
I have placed a new page on my official blog (selfies are a good record of one’s state of mind) – which contain some of the pictures I’ve taken during the making of musical and film achievements – a general history, some definite nostalgia – there are many pics missing from earlier years, which I’ll add when I find them – but… this was a bit of fun for me, and has brought back so much memory, struggle, triumph, sadness, joy and generally experiences that I’ve treasured — comments are welcome; and questions too, if you feel inspired.

I adore this song…. its just, beautiful – very elegant and such a sweet melody. I took the entire day and enjoyed singing… just simply recorded in my (unpadded) humble office – no sound equipment – just, Garage band and a set of headphones. I pray one day, I can record in a beautiful studio again…. if anyone listening/reading this post wants to give me that chance… don’t be shy – use the CONTACT form !

Such a wonderful visit two weeks back, to Muscat, Oman – a truly magnificent country, that is a green well-manicured oasis of abundance. I will go back there again, without a doubt – I just fell in love with the place!

I’ve had some fairly debilitating and painful (++!!) gut troubles the past decade/few years/months/weeks… and after some quality diagnosis last month in Kerala, India, I had to deal with a small op today (in Dubai, UAE) – a Colonoscopy to check for Diverticulitis.
