The strangest secret

The Strangest Secret – Earl Nightingale – 1956

‘As ye sow, so shall ye reap’. You become what you think about. Be prepared to pay the price.

1. You will become what you think about.
2. Remember the word, ‘Imagination’, and let your mind begin to soar.
3. Courage. Concentrate on your goal every day.
4. Save at least 10% of every dollar you earn.
5. Action: Ideas are worthless, unless we act on them.

30-day challenge test:

Each of us WANT something; Each of us is AFRAID of something.

What do you want?

Money, Home, Success in job, more harmonious family, more acknowledgement from workmates?

Write this down…  You then have something to look at, something to work at, something to live for.

Look at this every night. Remember, you must become what you think about.  Realise your goal. That soon, by thinking about your goals, and acting upon them, you begin to become what you want.

Look at the abundance all around you, as you go about your daily business. You have as much right to this abundance, as any other living creature – its yours for the asking.

Now for the difficult part – the formation of a brand new habit.  Once formed however, it will follow you for the rest of your life.

Stop thinking about what it is you fear.  Each time you have a negative thought, replace it with what you want to achieve.  There will be times you feel like giving up – it’s easy to think negatively, than positively.  That is why only 5% are successful.

You must begin now to place yourself in that (5%) group.  So, for 30-days, you must only permit your mind to think about what you want it to think about.

Each of the next 30-days, do more than you have to do. What you give out, is in direct proportion to what you will receive in life.

As soon as you decide on a goal, you will be part of that 5% that will be successful.  Out of every 100 people, you will be in the top 5.

Don’t be concerned with ‘how’ you are going to achieve your goal; leave that completely to a power greater than yourself.  All you have to do is know ‘where’ you are going.  The rest of life will come to you at its own time, of its own accord.

On one side of the card – write your goal. On the other side, write the following:

Ask; and it shall be given you.
Seek; and you shall find.
Knock; and the door shall be opened.
For everyone that ask-eth, shall receive-th.

It’s as simple as that.  Have purpose; and, faith. For 30-days, do your best.

Keep your goal right in front of you, and you will be amazed.

Act as though it were impossible to fail.  If, in that 30-days, you are overwhelmed with negativity, start again, and do another 30-days from that point. Act as if you will succeed. Above all, don’t fear. Fear is crippling.

Keep reading (or listening/watching) this video.  Make that new habit.

Provide people with services and products that people need and want.

Making money is the result of the success – the service you give – Success is because of the service you provide; not the other way round ie. that you are successful if you earn a lot of money.  You can only earn money AFTER you are ‘successful’. ie. Don’t be the cold man who said, ‘give me heat, then I’ll add the wood’.  We have to put the fuel in first, to get the heat. Our financial return will be of direct proportion to our service – we have to be of service first, before we can expect money.

Be of service, build, work, dream, create. Prosperity and abundance will come to you. The law of prosperity is, that any man who gives prosperity, will prosper himself. By every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Success will be measured by quality and quantity of the service you render. Money is the yardstick for measuring this service. No man can get rich himself, unless he enriches others.

THis is the price you set yourself. If you believe you can delude others, you can end only by deluding yourself. You get back, what you give out. Its impossible to avert this.

1. Set yourself a definite goal.
2. Quit running yourself down.
3. Stop thinking of all the reasons you cannot succeed. Instead, think of all the reasons why you can.
4. Trace your attitudes back down through to you childhood; and see where you first got your attitude, you couldn’t be successful – if that’s the way you’ve been thinking.
5. Change the vision of the person you are, to what you’d like to be. Write it down.
6. Act the part of the successful person you’ve decided to become. Pay the price of the person you want to become – its not nearly as difficult as living the life of being unsuccessful.

Live this for 30-days; then live it again.

You’ll have peace, calm, cheerful lives. You have nothing to lose, and everything to win.
